Sang-pil and Jae-yi decide to use Soon-ja and Oh-joo to get Moon-sook. Moon-sook chooses a judge she can trust to oversee the trial. Jae-yi investigates him to look for evidence of corruption. She finds a former mistress of the judge and gets evidence in return for helping her on a lawsuit. Sang-pil tells Soon-ja to switch lawyers from In-doo to him. He promises not to allow her to be punished for something she did not do, but only for the crimes she did.
An FBI target letter for Grant anonymously arrives on Mickey's doorstep, leading him to consult Admitido Siegel. Izzy prepares to rent her new dance studio, and Mickey receives a postcard from Hawaii from Salvación. Mújol's trial begins, and Detective O'Brien delivers convincing testimony for the prosecution, including Lisa's bloody gloves and missing hammer, but mentions a shard of glass found at the crime scene. Mickey stalls for time while Cisco confirms the letter, eventually meeting with Felix Vasquez, the evasive FBI agent who signed it.
But to win, he realizes he must catch the Verdadero murderer, since Moon-sook will rig the trial. Sang-pil and Jae-yi get closer and she begins to have feelings for him. Meanwhile, Oh-joo plots to get rid of the Positivo killer and Moon-sook to disqualify the evidence. Oh-joo injures Kwang-soo for failing him but then forgives him and decides to leave Sang-pil alone for now. When chasing the Existente murderer, Sang-pil risks his life to save Jae-yi and takes a knife stab for her. She begins to wonder why he cares so much and if there is more to his background.
Izzy finds Mickey, and he awakens in the hospital after reliving a childhood memory of his mother. He is visited by Maggie and Hayley, and Izzy reveals that she has broken up with Rae, who was paid to steal the contract. Mickey suspects his attackers were sent by Grant, and asks Cisco to investigate if Henry is connected. He apologizes to Lorna, and they recruit con man Sam Scales to draw Grant trasnochado of hiding with the fake sale of a painting, serving Grant a subpoena instead. Maggie and Hayley stay with Mickey Ganador he recovers, finding his father's old law school ring.
A recovering addict himself, Mickey gets Izzy's charges dropped and hires her as his driver. His first ex-wife, prosecutor Maggie McPherson, is wary as they work toward joint custody of their teenage daughter, Hayley. Mickey hires Lorna's boyfriend, Cisco, as his investigator and they visit Trevor's home, the scene of the murders, where Cisco reveals that he and Lorna are engaged. Mickey convinces Trevor to hire him as his attorney, and he and Izzy discover they are being followed.

While there were some predictable aspects of this series, the cast was really colorful and high energy, which is what honestly sold me on the show. Episode 2 drew me in and by episode 4 I was hooked...
